You should hold these truths to be self evident.
I was talking to my friend the other day about relationships and if y'all get to know me, y'all will know that this is the softest spot in my heart. I'm a certified tough girl, a little rough around the edges, loud, cussing, stereotypical little Georgia Peach who happens to be absolutely brilliant----on the outside.
Really, I am the whining, crying, attention whore that guys run from because I'm a good woman. I'm a nagging, controlling, self-righteous bitch who can care less about what anyone thinks about me---except if I care about you.
I met some P1 pharmacy students earlier this year and I really hit it off with one of them who has become a great friend of mine. I was talking to him and amongst the banter about "bitches" and "hoes" and "taking the dick"----#pause, came some real light.
I'm smart enough, fun enough, and classy enough to get any man I want, and that has truly never been my problem. I just gotta figure out how to keep one. If you follow me on Twitter... (insert plug @BrownNlovely) you WILL see my frequent rants about, as my lil bro put it, about "school work, football (Go Giants), and Trey Songz". Lol. Truth. But as I'm sure my ex would point out to you, I have my fair share of tweets about love & relationships. If you ask him, these tweets are targeted toward him, and I ain't gonna lie *50 Tyson voice* and say that some of them aren't however, the vast majority are pretty general, so I asked myself why I thought that he felt this way.
Then I figured it out.
I won't reveal too many details about my love life since this IS a blog, but the things that happened in my past relationship have happened in every relationship I've had. I think that deserves a quick shout out to all the guys I've ever met who said that they were different and would never hurt me. HA! *plays "Heard It All Before by Sunshine Anderson". :) Anywaydoe *Kat Stacks voice*, they can't help it. Things happen so often now, that I have decided that maybe love just isn't for me. #pause. Okay, I'm lying, I DID say in my bio that I'm a hopeless romantic, I love love, but I think I like to see everyone else in love. Does it make me jealous? Hell yeah, it does! Does it make me wish them any other way? Not at all.
So I ain't gonna say I'm looking, and I ain't gonna say I ain't. And I ain't gonna say I'm over you, because some things I just cain't. #KaShawnashrug.
I definitely have to write a paper (What's New?) now so I gotta go. Feel free to follow my blog and whatnot as my thought become more unhindered. Love y'all.
